CONVENT OF MONTEROSSO, THE PLACE OF THE HEART

In recent years the association FAI (Italian Environment Fund) with Intesa Sanpaolo is a census of places Italians not to forget and to be retrained, along with Intesa Sanpaolo.

In the latest edition, the seventh, was attended by more than a million and a half people who have focused their attention on some places of the heart.

For 2014 the place the most votes was the Convent of the Capuchin Friars of Monterosso al Mare, on the Riviera of Cinque Terre in the province of La Spezia.

The monastery was built by the religious from 1619 and damaged by the floods of 2013, became a symbol of the lands affected by the hydrogeological.

The Fai is a foundation that aims to promote a culture of respect for nature, art, history and traditions of Italy and protect a heritage that is a fundamental part of our roots and our identity.
